The cold weather is warned to cover the northern provinces of Vietnam on the large scale on December 8.
Because of its influence, the northern region and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue have experienced damaging cold with the lowest temperature of 14- 17 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the mountainous area dropped down 8 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the coastal mid- central provinces have seen medium- heavy rains, thunderstorm, cyclone and powerful wind.
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City and the southern region are expected to enjoy sunny weather with the highest daytime temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
However, some areas in the city will experience unexpected showery weather.
