PM asks central localities to ​urgently seek missing victims

Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue in collaboration with Ministries of Transport, Defense, Agriculture and Rural Development, the people’s committees of typhoon- hit- localities to continue carrying out measures for seeking missing victims in the territorial waters of Quy Nhon and Binh Dinh.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also required the affected localities must absolutely ensure people’s life and property of construction works  adding that the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and relevant provinces to visit and help the victim families to overcome their difficulties after typhoon Damrey.

Yesterday morning, the tropical storm landed in the central provinces from Quang Nam to Binh Thuan with its powerful wind of level 11- 12, causing massive damages on people and property.

By the afternoon, 69 reported fishermen working offshore were rescued and taken to safe place.
