Rainy season in South to end soon

The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting updated the country’s weather forecasts in October yesterday.

As per that, two or three cold waves are predicted to hit the northern region in October while the rainy season starts in the central region. Heavy rains will concentrate in early till middle of October however the rainfall is forecast not to reach higher than it compared to last year.

One or two typhoons may occur in the East Sea but the south west monsoon will not affect to the central and central highlands region. Of these, the rainy season is predicted to be ended sooner than previous years.

However, the center warned authorities nationwide need to take necessary measures to deal with hailstorms, strong winds and thunderstorms.
