Sapa lures more visitors during snowfall

From 12pm midnight to 4am today, snow rains constantly occurred in the area of Tram Ton- Thac Bac and Hoang Lien Son mountain pass. Since early hours today morning, snow shouldered over O Quy Ho mountain pass’s Highway 4D.

With a such weather situation, Sapa attracted more and more people from Hanoi to see snowfall. However, many residents said that this season’s snowfall is less than the same period of last year.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center announced that the northern mountain and midland experienced heavy rains and widespread damaged cold yesterday because of the influence of an additional cold front and west monsoon.

Currently, the damaged cold has moved deeply to the north central provinces. Particularly, temperature in night may measure at 10- 12 degrees Celsius in Ha Tinh and Nghe An province. In Hanoi, temperature in night will see around 8- 9 degrees Celsius. According to forecast weather, the damaged cold will last till tonight. 

Meanwhile, temperature both Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces will decrease around 2- 3 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in Ho Chi Minh City will be at 20- 21 degrees Celsius. Due to the influence of cold front, the current bad weather experiences in sea rough.
