Temperatures plummet in North Vietnam

Soon after the cold front, temperatures have fallen drastically in all of North Vietnam, the lowest ever since the beginning of the year.

On Thursday, temperatures dropped to 17.7 degrees Celsius in Lao Cai City, 10.5 degrees in Bac Ha District and a low 8.9 degrees in Sa Pa District.

According to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center, mercury will continue to drop in the next few days in the northern regions.

By the weekend, another cold front will move in to further lower temperatures and is also forecast to affect the weather in the central region.
