The first heavy rain yesterday lasted over 20 minute in Can Tho city after a prolonged period of excessively heat waves and serious saltwater influx. The heavy rains caused flooding in some main routes of Nguyen Van Cu, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Cach Mang Thang Tam,Tran Quang Dieu and others.

It is considered the heaviest rainfall hitting Can Tho city since the beginning of this year.

On the same day, many small rainfalls swept some areas in Kien Giang, An Giang and Dong Thap provinces,  watering the region and reducing daytime  temperature.
