Three consecutive earthquakes hit Quang Nam

The third earthquake hit the area of Bac Tra My District in Quang Nam province at 3am on July 6, caused shaking violently houses and buildings.

The earthquake measured 2,5 on the Richter scale with its epicenter location at 6 kilometers deep underground, reported by the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center of the Institute of Geophysics.

The earthquake was located at 15,264 degrees north latitude and 108, 177 degrees east longitude in the area of Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant in Bac Tra My district.

Earlier, another earthquake measured 2,7 on Richter scale with its epicenter location at 5,5 kilometers deep underground which occurred in the area of Bac Tra My district at 4:46 am on July 5. The earthquake was located 15, 37 degrees north latitude and108, 092 degree east longitude.

On July 4, an additional earthquake measured 2,5 on Richter scale with its epicenter location at 7 kilometers deep underground which occurred in the area of Que Son district at 2:50 pm. The earthquake was located 15, 701 degrees north latitude and107, 989 degree east longitude.

Accordingly, three consecutive earthquakes hit Quang Nam province from July 4-6.
