Tropical depression near seashore

The report from the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control showed that typhoon Kirogi weakened into a tropical low-pressure system and interacted with the cold air this early morning.

The combination caused heavy to heavy rains in the south- central provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.

According to directions from the Vietnamese Prime Minister and the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the typhoon- hit- localities had moved 34, 693 people to safe places. 

Amid to the bad weather condition, the local authorities required as well as instructed fish vessels to anchor near seashore, and helped people to protect fish farming cages and dyke systems. 

By 6am today, the affected provinces spread information on position of typhoon Kirogi to 62,512 vessels with 307,064 fishermen to run out of dangerous areas. 

However, there still are 15 fish boats with 108 employees not able to contact with the functional forces.
