A tropical low depression system in off the Philippines has continued moving fast towards the East Sea.

The National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said in next two days, it would move west west north, at 25km per hour and be able to gain strength and develop into a tropical storm.

The center said at 7am this morning, the low depression center was at 8.7 degrees north latitude, 120.2 degrees East longitude, about 200km east southern of the Philippines’ Palawan Island. The strongest wind speed was 40-50km per hour, level 6.

In next 24 hours, it would continue heading west west north at 25-30km per hour and be able to become stronger.

Tomorrow November 18, its direction will be offshore from the Spratly Islands, about 500 km east of Phu Quy Island.

On November 18, 19 a cold spell is predicted to hit the northern provinces, causing the temperature to drop at 14-17 Celsius degree, in the mountainous areas at 11-14 Celsius degree.

 The northern and north central regions are forecast to experience heavy rains on large scale.
