Tropical low pressure appears East Sea

A new low pressure zone developed into a tropical low pressure which entered in west southern territorial water of Spratly Islands, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported on December 20.

The low pressure was located at 5, 8 degrees north latitude and 111, 8 degrees east longitude with its strongest wind near center at level 6- 8.

In next 24 hours, the tropical low pressure is going to move westwards at 5 kilometers an hour. By evening today, it is predicted to locate at 240 kilometers south west southwards of Large Spratly Islands.

Due to its circulation and cold weather, East Sea’s southern region including Spratly Islands and the territorial waters from Quang Ngai to Ca Mau province will see maximum wind speed of level 5-8, showery weather and thunderstorm.

Moreover, the central coastal provinces from Da Nang to Binh Thuan also will be affected by cold weather accompanied with east monsoon causing medium and heavy rains on the large scale. Meanwhile, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces will be rains with its highest temperature at 22- 23 degrees Celsius at night and at 29- 30 degrees Celsius daytime.
