Typhoon ‘Aere’ moves closer to East Sea

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that typhoon ‘Aere’ is going to move closer to the northern territorial water of the East Sea in next one or two days.

Its position was yesterday evening defined at 21. 3 degrees north latitude and 116. 5 degrees east longitude, at 690 kilometers northeastward of the Paracel Island with the maximum wind of 90- 100 kilometers an hour.

Within next 24 hours to 48 hours, the storm will slowly move northward at 3- 5 kilometers an hour and then in the west southwestward.

With the complicated turn, the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster asked local authorities and people in the coastal provinces and cities need to constantly up to date information, closely eye position of the typhoon and vessels, and keep contact with fishing boats on the sea. 

Army forces in the coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Khanh Hoa in collaboration with local authorities and families of fishing owners yesterday instructed over 71, 000 vessels running out of damaged zones.

At present, 179 ships and 1, 682 fishermen have still worked at offshore marine.
