40 Projects Win VIFOTEC 2005 Awards

Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations awarded the “Vietnamese Creative Technology 2005 - VIFOTEC” prize of the Viet Nam Fund for Technology Creation (VIFOTEC) on April 6, 2006 to 40 projects, including 4 first, 8 second, 13 third and 15 consolation prizes.

On the same day, the list of Vietnamese winners of the WIPO prize (World Intellectual Property Organization) was also announced.

The “Best Invention” was awarded to Ho Xuan Minh and Vu Kien Thiet, from Z113 factory (under the Ministry of Defence).

The WIPO – TROPHY for Innovative Enterprises was handed out to Bien Hoa Vinacafe Joint-Stock Company.

The WIPO award for “Outstanding Woman Inventor” went to Dr. Huynh Thuy Duong of the University of Natural Sciences.

The “Best Young Inventor” award recipient was Nguyen Thuy Chi, student of the University of Traffic and Transportation. 

The award ceremony of VIFOTEC 2005 and WIPO 2005 will be held at Opera House in Ha Noi on April 12, 2006.
