Following a four-year break, the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking sector called EMO Hannover 2017 will once again be held in Hanover from September 18 to 23, 2017.

Mr. Christoph Miller, Trade Fair Director at the EMO’s organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association) in Franfurt am Main, Germany made the annoucement at a press conference which was held this morning in HCMC.
“It aims to improve the competitiveness of the machine tool vendors with the new solutions. Under the motto of “Connecting systems for intelligent production” the fair will focus on digitisation and networking for exhibitors and visitors”, added Chirstoph Miller.
“The EMO Hannover is the absolute hot-spot for international experts in the matalworking sector. In 2013, around 143,000 trade visitors from more than 110 different countries and territories worldwide attended the event.
“We believe that the EMO Hannover 2017 will generate important impetus for implementing the much-discussed concept of Industry 4.0 or the Internet of Things (IoT). Under the keywork of Industry 4.0, the task now is to network the entire production operation, and indeed the complete added value chain”, said Director Chirstoph Miller.
He confirmed that very many of the ingenious solutions will be on show such as new methods for itelligent tool management with direct transfer of tool data to the machine, thus reducing the workload involved in production planning; approaching for mastering data transmission and data security; apps for induvidually configurable control systems, designed to ensure improved operator-friendliness and expanded connectivity and much more.
Mr. Do Phuoc Tong, Chairman of HCMC Mentalworking Association said Vietnamese enterprises has been investing in high quality machines, tools therefore the fair will be good chance to seek new solutions aiming to raise competitiveness, save the capital and integrating further into the global trend.
The German Industry and Commerce Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam), the VDW (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken e.V.) - Germany, the organizer of EMO Hannover, and the Deutsche Messe AG co-organized the press conference at The Reverie Saigon.
