Free-wifi’s users to meet high risk

Bkav Security (Bkav) announced its study result of free-wifi network security circumstance in Vietnam on December 3.

Bkav carried out a survey about the network’s security from August to November 2014 in cities such as Da Nang, Hai Phong, Hoi An, Ha Long…and it showed that the free wifi network faced a high risk of information security.

Bkav said, users can be stolen sensitive information such as account, password, and credit information when they use wifi in these cities. Bkav’s experts said that users would have to meet three stolen-styles including man in the middle; phishing and SSID Spoofing.
