Speaking at the event, head of the State Agency for Technology Innovation (SATI) under the Ministry of Science and Technology Ta Viet Dung hailed the successful transfer of advanced technologies from abroad for improving Vietnam’s manufacturing capacity.

According to him, changes are being made to the Law on Technology Transfer, with a focus on providing all possible support for firms to access technologies and State incentives.

Apart from manufacturing technologies, Dung said the agency has also actively sought and introduced energy-efficient technologies used for environment protection, greenhouse emission, and energy consumption management.

Korean businesses such as Energy Holdings Group, CDS Industries, Daewoo Information Systems, Doosan Heavy Industries introduced technologies regarding offshore wind energy, real-time monitor of wastewater pollution, SmartGrid electricity consumption, biomass power generation, among others.

Hong Min Kim from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) said almost above technologies were conceived by KETEP, then transferred and commercialised to businesses.

The event was co-hosted by the SATI and the KETEP.
