This piloting phase is done locally and is expected to end on August 15, 2018. Based on results of this stage, the official phone number conversion will be applied to all customers from 12:00am of September 15, 2018.

The phone number conversion route of Mobifone is supposed to be done in many turns for different groups of subscribers.

During the time from September 15, 2018 to November 14, 2018, MobiFone will notice related customers about their number change as soon as their own number is successfully conversed. From that time on, these customers can use both the old and new numbers to make and receive phone calls or send messages.

Simultaneously, MobiFone is now piloting the use of new numbers to connect to other networks like Viettel, Vinaphone, Gtel, and Vietnamobile in order to ensure the utmost convenience for its customers.

The following methods are applied to support service subscribers to maintain a healthy connection during this conversion time:

- Customers are able to use both old and new numbers to make and receive phone calls for 60 days after the new number is effective.

- Announcement is delivered automatically in at least 90 days after the old number is ineffective. This announcement will help callers be aware of the receiver’s new number.

- A noticing message will be sent to related subscriber after the phone number conversion is successful. There will also be support in the app My Mobifone for customers to easily change phone numbers in their phone books.

On November 15, 2018, when the old numbers are ineffective, MobiFone will still maintain delivering its automatic announcement to guide callers to use new prefixes for dialing.
