To access or send information to the Smart City Phu Quoc, citizens need to install an application onto their smart devices. They can do this via visiting AppStore (for iOS operation system) or Google Play (for Android operation system) and enter the keyword ‘SafeCity’.

Another method is to directly call the number 1900 1011 to deliver needed information. This phone-line works around the clock.

After the first phase of the project to develop a smart city model on the island district, necessary facilities such as public Wi-Fi networks, surveillance camera systems, environment monitoring devices, the e-government, online registration for temporary residence, smart tourism, have been finished.

The People’s Committee of Phu Quoc District also issued regulations to manage this Operation Center as well as steps to timely process information via a steering team.

“At the moment, Phu Quoc District is delivering flyers to propagate this news to its residents and tourists so that they can make full use of the service”, said Mr. Pham Van Nghiep.

In the first stage of the project to develop a smart city, the district has successfully run the digital one-stop software in 7 communes and towns. It also finished installing Wi-Fi routers in 8 tourism spots in Duong Dong Town and An Thoi Town, increasing the total number to 49 devices running from September 1, 2017.

It created a website to welcome tourists when accessing the Internet using its Wi-Fi system. The installment of 19 new cameras and integration of 31 existing cameras will also help the Monitoring Center, sited at the Police Office of Phu Quoc District, to better observe the security status.
