Prime Minister Concerned About Viet Nam Satellite Project

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung required the relative ministries, agencies and contractors to carry out a smooth and effective plan, avoiding waste and time-loss in a meeting with the National Steering Board of VINASAT satellite.

It is expected that around VND2,885 billion VINASAT satellite, under construction by the US Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, will be launched in April of 2008.

At present, Viet Nam tends to build two satellite controlling stations in Hoai Duc District in the northern province of Ha Tay and Ben Cat District in the southern province of Binh Duong.
