VEIC Plans IPO in September

VEIC - the Vietnam Electronics and Informatics Corporation directly under the Ministry of Industry (MOI) - said it will offer share sales to investors in September. The public offering will be conducted at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Center (HASTC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center (HSTC).

According to the equitization plan that VEIC submitted to MOI, besides the financing activities, VEIC will directly participate in many businesses including designing, producing, installing and assembling equipment and equipment systems in telecommunication and medical electronics.

In addition, VEIC will also provide services in electronics and information technology and produce add-on equipment, and packages. VEIC’s other businesses include hotel, real estates, office leasing, and other legal services.

Up to 2005, VEIC’s assets have exceeded VND1,000 billion. Its annual revenues have reached VND800 billion and the average income of its employees VND2 million/person/month.
