In the northern region, a cold snap slammed in yesterday making it cold and causing heavy rain in Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang provinces.
The cold front will further move south to the central region today.
Southern region to see rainy weekend
Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the southern region of Vietnam will see increasing rainfall from October 17 and heavy rains at the weekend, reported National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.
