Badminton Player Minh Qualifies for Wilson Swiss

The 37th seeded Mr. Nguyen Tien Minh sailed through the qualifying rounds of the 2008 Wilson Swiss Super Series, a branch of BWF Super Series.

Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh will probably gain more successes in WSSS 2008

Mr. Minh pocketed a double two-nil win over his British opponent Mr. Rajiv Ouseph and Spanish Pablo on March 11 and qualified for main rounds of the series.

Yesterday, Mr. Minh followed up with another victory in straight games against tenth-seeded Lee Hyun Il of Korea in his first main draw. He completely mastered the match and finished with a result of 21-9 and 21-9. That seems to be a good signal for Mr. Minh in this series as Mr. Lee is about 27 levels higher than Mr. Minh.

Today, Mr. Minh will face Mr. Ronald Susilo of Singapore in the second round.

The 2008 Wilson Swiss Super Series is the fourth tournament of 2008 BWF Super Series badminton tournament. It is held from March 11 to March 16, 2008 in Basel, Switzerland.

The series is organized by the Wilson Badminton Swiss Open and has a purse of US$200,000.
