Hoa Phat Hoping for a Win in Maldives

Viet Nam’s Hoa Phat arrived in the Maldives today to face off against local side Victory SC in their third Group D Asia Football Champion Cup 2007 match starting at four this afternoon.

Hoa Phat (blue) are hoping for a win in the Maldives after going down 1-2 to Xiang Zue Sun Hei (yellow)

The visitors need to bounce back after their recent losses to Saigon Port and Khanh Hoa in the national V-League. Hoa Phat tactician Tran Binh Su says his boys will play aggressively and take the game up to the host team.

However, Su doesn’t expect an easy ride for his side, even though Victory are at the bottom of Group D after their 0-2 loss to Xiang Zue Sun Hei in Hong Kong and 2-all draw with Malaysia’s Negeri Sembilan.

Hoa Phat also lost to Xiang Zue Sun Hei but their goalless draw in Malaysia has put them one point ahead of today’s opponents.
