An international festival with the theme “Preserving and developing Vietnamese traditional martial arts kicked off on August 1 in the central province of Binh Dinh which is the birthplace of the practice.
At the opening ceremony, a certificate of reorganization of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts as a form of national tangible cultural heritage was given to province leaders.
Martial arts instructors performed Vietnamese traditional martial artists featuring the country’s vigorous history and beauty features of the province’s culture.
The festival will run until August 4 focusing martial arts performances centering preserving traditional martial arts. More than 400 athletes from 40 traditional martial art groups in the country participate in the festival.
