Minister Thien elected as VN's Olympic Committee President

A congress of Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) for the 2016-2020 tenure was yesterday held in Hanoi to elect its new managers. 

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien was elected Vietnam Olympic Committee President for the 2017- 2020 tenure.

Accordingly, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien was appointed Vietnam Olympic Committee President for the 2017- 2020 tenure.

His assistants include seven vice presidents: Vietnamese Government Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Duc Hanh, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Dong Tien, Head of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training Vuong Bich Thang, Vietnam Airlines CEO Pham Ngoc Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation Hoang Vinh Giang, CEO of the Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business Joint Stock Company Le Van Kiem, Chairman and General Director of the Dai Nam Joint Stock Company Huynh Uy Dung.

Tran Van Manh was newly appointed General Secretary of the Vietnam Olympic Committee for the fifth term.

The goal of the Vietnam Olympic Committee in the new term is to continue promoting the work of training and competition to get high achievements in the international sport playgrounds.
