At the press conference, the organizational board introduced standards of winners as well as the nomination categories for this award, including the Vietnamese Golden Ball Awards 2017 for male, the best male young footballer, the best foreign football player, the best female young footballer, the women’s Gold Ball Awards, the 2017 Golden Futsal etc etc…

Attending in the ceremony were Representative of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in the southern region Duong Vu Lam; Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Journalist Association Duong Vu Thong; General Director of Thai Son Nam Company Nguyen Hong Hai; Deputy editor- in –chief of SGGP Newspaper and Head of the organizational board of Vietnamese Golden Ball Awards Nguyen Thanh Loi, representatives of sponsors and crowded sport journalists in the country.
The Vietnamese Golden Ball Awards was launched in 1995 for the first time by Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper, honoring as well as recognizing contributions and achievements of Vietnamese football players during a year.

Mr. Duong Vu Lam said that the Vietnam Football Federation appreciated SGGP Newspaper for the football ward in Vietnam, actively contributed to recognizing efforts of the domestic and foreign football players.
