Truong Son wins gold medal at Asian Chess Championships

In the competitive yesterday for the 2015 Asian Chess Championships in United Arab Emirates, Vietnamese chess player Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son excellently grabbed a gold medal in the men’s rapid chess class.

The silver medal went to Indian competitor Sandipan Chanda.

In the same category, his teammate Le Quang Liem finished at score of 5.5 to rank the fifth position.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung was listed the ninth position with achievement of 4.5 points after seven sets.

As soon as finishing in rapid chess pool, Vietnamese chess players continued to compete in blitz chess.

After two sets, Nguyen Thi Thanh An, Le Kieu Thien Kim, Quang Liem and Truong Son listed in top best players.
