Tien Minh will also participate in the Badminton Asia Championships held from April 10 to 15 at the Malaysian Stadium Bandaraya at Johor Bahru. He is then expected to fly to Singapore and Indonesia to take part in some open tournaments in early May.

These international badminton matches will prepare him for the upcoming 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. In addition, they will also help Minh to be seeded as one of the top 36 male players to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China.
