Vietnam rise on world football ranking table

Vietnam’s national men’s football team jumped four spots to the 133rd place on the World Football Federation (FIFA)’s latest ranking released on January 8.

The country is in the 19th position in Asia and keeps its second place in Southeast Asia behind the Philippines.

Three top places in Asia remain unchanged with Iran topping the list, followed by Japan and the Republic of Korea.

There is no change in the order of the world’s top ten with Germany sitting atop ahead second-ranked Argentina and third-placed Columbia.
