Vietnam sports 2015 expects new wind from young generation

Many major regional and international sporting events will come in this year, such as the 28th ASEAN Games and the primary tournament for Olympic Games 2016. Accordingly, Vietnam has high expectations of the younger generation like Thach Kim Tuan, Phan Thi Ha Thanh, Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, Ly Hoang Nam and the country targets to collect more and more medals in two sport festivals.
 
In order to harvest the best achievements, Vietnamese talent athletes need to try their best.

This is a list of Vietnamese young talent athletes, who are expected to win medals in the 28th SEA Games:
 
1. Weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan
 
Top Vietnamese weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan experienced an extremely successful year in 2014 with series of 11 new records at home and abroad, including three gold medals and two records at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships; one silver and two records at the 17th Asian Games; one gold and two silver medals at the World Weightlifting Championships; and three gold medals at the 7th National Games.
 

With such outstanding achievements, the 21 years- old weightlifter will be one of determining factors who is expected to bring home medals for Vietnam sports delegation in the 28th SEA Games in Singapore and Olympic Games 2016.
 
2. Gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh
 
Vietnamese gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh is next face who will represent for Vietnam to compete in the 28th SEA Games, the world gymnast championships in 2015 and the primary tournament of Olympic Games 2016.
 
24 years old athlete achieved an impressive competition year in 2014 with silver and bronze medals in the 17th Asian Games and ranked the sixth position in the world gymnast championships.


3. Track- field athlete Quach Thi Lan
 
Quach Thi Lan and Bui Thi Thu Thao are two brilliant players in category of track and field who ever won silver medals at the 17th Asian Games.
 
In SEA Games 2015, the country expects Quach Thi Lan will be one of young athletes to made highest achievements for Vietnam sports delegation in categories of the women’s 400 meters, 400 meters hurdle race.

4. Swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien
 
Swimmer Anh Vien named the most outstanding athlete of the year 2014, bringing home countless titles and records. Vien is the first swimmer of Viet Nam to win a medal in the Asian Games.

Currently, the 19 years old athlete joined hard work at the training course in the United States. Vietnam hopes to have gold medals from Anh Vien in the 28th SEA Games and primary round of Olympic Games 2016.
 

If Anh Vien completes all exercises at the training course in the US, she will have opportunity to rank top ten of the women's 400 meters individual medley.

Olympic Games 2016 will be the second consecutive times Anh Vien is represent in the sport event.

Earlier, Anh Vien participated in the Olympic Games in London in 2012 for the first time, said her coach Dang Anh Tuan.
 
5. Golfer Ly Hoang Nam

In tennis category, Ly Hoang Nam's aim is to take part in four tournaments of the world youth Grand Slam in 2015. In order to participate in the Grand Slam, the 18 years old golfer need to rank in top 50 of the world’s golf ranking table.
 
Ly Hoang Nam will determine to win national championship and numerous medals in SEA Games 2015 and Davis Cup in this year if he is named in list of Vietnamese national team, shared the golfer.
