Vietnam wins three gold medals at Southeast Asian Students Festival

Athlete Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won three gold medals and one bronze medal in the swimming category at the fifth Congress of Sports of Southeast Asian Students Festival on June 24.

In the women's 100m backstroke category, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien brought in the first gold medal for Vietnam Student Sports Association with a timeframe of one minute 03 seconds.

In the women's 200m freestyle category, Vien continued her excellent performance and won the secoand gold medal with two minutes 05 seconds.

In women's 100m butterfly category, which was not her strong point, Vien only won a bronze with 1 minute 03 seconds.

At the end of the first day of the competition, Thai Student Sports Association came first because they won three gold medals, two silver medals and five bronze medals.

Vietnam was second with three gold medals and one bronze medal. Malaysia came third with two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.
