Xuan Vinh scored 202.5 points while Wu Felipe Almeida (Brazil) scored 202.1 points.

This is the first gold medal of Vietnam Sport and Xuan Vinh made also a new record in the 2016 Rio Olympic.

With gold medal, Xuan Vinh will be awarded VND 2.2 billion from sponsors for Vietnamese air pistol.

Vinh, a leading Vietnamese shooter earned two golds in the men’s 10m air pistol (team) and 50m pistol (individual), last year. In 2012, he grabbed two bronzes in 10m air pistol at Asian Championships events in Doha, Qatar and Nanchang, China.
