VN has gold medal on opening day of Asian Athletics Championships

 
Vietnamese athlete Bui Thi Thu Thao yesterday bagged home one gold medal in women's long jump at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships in India.

The victory came from a best long jump 6.54 meters.
 
A silver and bronze medal respectively belonged to Neena and Nayan James, two athletes of the host country.
 
Before the Asian tournament, Bui Thi Thu Thao had ever owned two gold medals with the best achievements of 6.41 and 6.58 meters at Asian Grand Prix 2017.
 
Thu Thao is expected to grab gold medals for Vietnam sport delegation at the 2017 SEA GAME.

 Today, Vietnamese athletes continue competing in the men & women’s 400 m hurdles race.
