VN temporarily grabs 55 gold medals at SEA Games 2017

By 9pm yesterday, the Vietnamese sports delegation bagged total 55 gold, 41 silver and 51 bronze medals at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

With the achievement, Vietnam was temporarily ranked the third position at the medal tally after Malaysia and Thailand. 

In the tenth competitive day, weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh and Thach Kim Tuan excellently earned two gold medals for Vietnam. 

Athletes Truong Thi Kim Tuyen, Vu Quoc Hung won two silver medals in the women’s under 46 kilogram weighting class Taekwondo and the men’s Taekwondo. One more silver medal went to Gymnastics for women. 

Two bronze medalists were Nguyen Tien Minh in badminton, and Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat in Muay. 

Presently, host- country Malaysia is temporarily ranked the first position with 109 gold medals, and the second position belongs to Thailand with 60 gold medals.
