Indonesia to build country’s longest bridge

Indonesia is planning to build a 7km-long bridge linking two islands near Singapore, the longest in the country, in a bid to develop industry and tourism in the area, announced the Indonesian government on July 11.

Indonesia earmarks over US$1 billion for disaster fund

The Indonesian Government will double its disaster response budget to 15 trillion rupiah (US$1.06 billion) in 2019 after a series of major natural disasters devastated three regions of the vast archipelago last year.
