Electricity, water prices contribute to August CPI increase

Long lasting scorching heat in some localities caused electricity and water demand hike resulting in 0.33 percent and 0.28 percent increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of electricity and water respectively in August, according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.

Figures released by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam on July 29 showed that consumer price index (CPI) in July edged up by 0.18 percent compared to the previous month.
