Pabuk moves away from Vietnam, leaving heavy rainfall

Tropical storm Pabuk has been moving away from the waters off the southern region of Vietnam but still causing heavy rainfall for the last several days, inundating tens of thousands of winter spring rice crop and damaging Tet flower production in the Mekong Delta.

Heavy rainfall drenches central region of Vietnam

A cold front in combination with a northward low pressure trough has caused heavy rainfall in central provinces from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa, has announced National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

Condolences to Japan over losses caused by floods

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 8 sent a message of condolences to his Japanese counterpart, Shinzo Abe, over great losses in humans and property caused by the recent floods and landslides.

Tropical depression to trigger heavy rainfall in northern region

A tropical low pressure system will make landfall in northern provinces from Quang Ninh to Hai Phong city and trigger medium to heavy rainfall in the northern and north central region this afternoon, according to National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.
