The speed of the land subsidence in the Mekong Delta region is 2cm to 4cm per year focusing on coastallines and low-lying areas. The cause is because of rising underground water exploitation, said the Southern Irrigation Science institute.
The Mekong Delta province of An Giang organized to teach10,000 children to swim and set up 13 places to take care of 550 kids and send 2,000 students to schools in low-lying areas and border areas with Cambodia.
