PM approves rice aid for flood-hit residents

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has decided to provide 2,000 tonnes of rice from the national reserve as food aid to residents in the central provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh who suffered from serious flooding.

According to the national center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting, the 3rd storm  Son Tinh at 16pm July 18 centered at 18.8 degrees latitude, 107.5 degrees east longitude, on the Tokin Gulf, 190km from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh provinces.

Quang Binh pilots tours of new caves

Authorities of the central province of Quang Binh have decided to pilot tours of some new caves at the World Natural Heritage site Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, dubbed the “Kingdom of Caves”.

Localities asked to prepare for 2nd storm

The National Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control at 11am on June 5 sent its urgent official dispatch to the provinces of Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh and relevant agencies, warning them of the second storm and asking localities to deal with it.
