First export processing zone spotlight in HCMC

HCMC is the first locality in Vietnam applying one door mechanism which has reduced time to do administrative procedures of projects in export processing zones (IPZs) and industrial parks (IPs), accounting account for one third of that outside the zones and parks, according to statistics by the Ministry of Justice.

Following Ho Chi Minh City’s plan to support workers’ children in industrial and export processing zones in the academic year 2017-2018, overtime care service will be offered to workers in Tan Thuan Processing Park in district 7 and Tay Bac Industrial Park in Cu Chi district.

Industrial parks and export processing zones in HCMC attracted US$384 million investment capital at the end of June, getting 77 percent of plan and increasing 39.36 percent over the same period last year.

Most laborers return to work after Tet

The Labor Union of Ho Chi Minh City presented 2,332 bus tickets and 20 airfares to workers of Linh Trung Export Processing Zone 1, 2 and Binh Chieu Industrial Zone at Thu Duc District’s Children House on January 10, aiming to help the employees return their homeland on Tet’s holiday.
