Ten people reported dead or missing from flood & downpour

The National hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center yesterday issued a weather news on downpour and flashflood in the central region on the large scale because of an impact of cold air and the east monsoon.

At least 58 dead and missing due to heavy rain & flooding

The National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention said that the natural disasters of tropical heavy rain, flashflood, landslide and tropical- low depression caused 27 dead, 19 missing and 12 injured in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Son La, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Quang Tri.

Landslide & flashflood to hit northern mountainous region

According to the Central Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, landslide and flashflood are predicted to hit the northern mountainous provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Can, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau and Dien Bien from August 29 to September 31.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Ministers Truong Hoa Binh, Vuong Dinh Hue and Vu Duc Dam yesterday launched a fund to help flood-affected people in the Northwest provinces after a week long siege of flashfloods and downpours.
