According to the proposal, takeoff and landing service prices will move up 15 percent compared to current level during peak hours and reduce by the same rate in off-peak hours to airports belonging to groups A and B. The cost for airports in group C will account for 60 percent of the price for group B during peak hours.

The agency also suggested a roadmap for the price hike to prevent from affecting airports’ operation and trading. Specifically, the price will surge by 5 percent from July 1 this year and continue raising 10 percent from January 1 next year.

In addition, aviation security service will soar from US$1.5 to $2 per international passenger and from VND9,090 to VND18,181 per domestic passenger.

Passenger service price will increase by VND40,000 to VND90,909 a passenger to group A airports, VND20,000 to VND72,727 to group B. It will rise to VND54,545 to group C.
