Can Tho to Spend VND17 Billion to Improve Access to Local Tour Facilities

As part of a plan to upgrade access to tourist facilities in Can Tho province, government officials there have announced a budget of more than VND17 billion for the improvement of a 35km stretch of road connecting ten tourism areas in three districts.

Included in the regions tourist attractions are the Binh Thuy temple, the Binh Thuy “ancient” house, the tombs of renowned Nguyen Dynasty poets Bui Huu Nghia and Phan Van Tri, the Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets and others.

The project is part of preparations for Can Tho’s  National Tourism Year 2008 themed ‘The Mekong Delta’s waterways and countryside’.
