Flights to Hai Phong canceled due to ‘Mirinea’ typhoon

Because of the influence of prolonged heavy rain, thunderstorm and strong wind caused by ‘Mirinea’ typhoon, many domestic airlines had to cancel and reschedule their flights connecting HCMC and Hai Phong on the next day.

Particularly, flag carrier Vietnam Airlines rescheduled two flights this morning.

Low-cost airline - VietJetAir also canceled two flights on Hai Phong- Ho Chi Minh City route.

Meanwhile, Jetstar Pacific also announced that its two flights of Ho Chi Minh City- Hai Phong route must land at Noi Bai International Airport.

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, Mirinea is the first typhoon of the year hitting Vietnam's northern provinces. It has affected directly to Thanh Hoa, Hanoi and Nghe An. As this reason, many flights to Hanoi, Thanh Hoa and Vinh will also be influenced by the storm.
