Two direct flights carrying 350 passengers from Bangkok to Hue City landed in Phu Bai International Airport on April 30.
The experimental flights have been operational by Thai airline, New Gen Airways. The carrier cooperated with the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien-Hue Province to open the route. The new service aims to develop and promote its provincial tourism.
Other two flights from Thai capital to Hue ancient city will arrive on May 3.
Ealier the first direct charter flight from Bangkok to Hue landed in Phu Bai International Airport on March 18 with 161 leaders, journalists and representatives of 100 travel businesses of Thai capital Bangkok.
Passengers traveled to Hue for the conference on investment and cooperation between Thailand and Hue.
