Vietnam’s InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula resort was nominated as the 2014 Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort, announced by Sun Group at the awards ceremony of the 21st World Travel Awards in India on October 13.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is a five stars luxury resort and spa located in Son Tra Peninsula of Da Nang, established on June 1, 2012 under the management of InterContinental Hotels Group. The resort included 700 meters of private beach.
The resort has total 197 rooms with unique landscape. It also has private entertainment areas such as a children's playroom, games center, fitness center, library and two outdoor pools.
The Wall Street Magazine considered this award as "Oscars of the travel industry". The leading resorts in Bali, Maldives have been former winners of the award.
At this year’s awards ceremony, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort excellently won the noble title after passing other well known resorts like Conrad Koh Samui, Thailand’s InterContinental Samui Baan Tailing Ngam Resort, Malaysia’s Gaya Island Resort, China’s Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanva, Fiji islands country’s Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, India’s Tai Exotica Goa, the Bulgari Resort Bali and the Oberoi Vanvavilas.
In addition, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was the first resort in Vietnam to receive the title of “Asia’s Leading Hotel Dinning and Entertainment Experience”.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1994. This award’s criterion based on nomination from customers and tourist operators.
