Revenues from tourism in eight months hike

The General Statistic Office (GSO) announced travel retail revenue in eight months of the year reached VND1,935 trillion ($85.1 million), a year-on-year increase of 10 percent.

Revenue from ancillary accommodation and food services was estimated at VND318 trillion, accounting for 12.3 percent of the whole turnover and it has seen a year-on-year rise of 11.3 percent while travel revenue was likely to reach VND23 trillion, up 11 percent compared to the same period last year.
Other service turnover in eight months was estimated to achieve VND303 trillion, an increase of 8.9 percent against the same period last year.
