The Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism wants to see 10 more advanced schools of tourism up and running by 2015 to counter the industry’s chronic lack of skilled employees.

The schools will be scattered across the nation but primarily in the areas where the tourist industry has the most to offer - the northwest, the upper and lower central coast, the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands.
In the next few years, the plan is to open such schools in Da Nang in 2007, Can Tho and Da Lat in 2006, and Rach Gia (Kien Giang province) and Sapa (Lao Cai) in 2010.
At the moment there are four advanced schools of tourism run by the VNAT - in Ha Noi, Hue, Hai Phong and Vung Tau.
