The Long Thanh golf course in the southern province of Dong Nai was recognized as the best of its kind in Viet Nam in a 2007 poll organized by Vietnam Golf magazine and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The premier golf club is a 36-hole affair with two courses, the West favoring the Asian tradition of narrow tree-lined fairways and fast smooth greens, and the East, which offers long, wide fairways with well-placed bunkers and water hazards, plus challenging, undulating greens.

Each course offers panoramic views over the surrounding countryside in the west and rural landscapes in every other direction.

The “best view” award went to the Da Lat Palace Golf Club in Lam Dong province, “best services” was given to the Van Tri Golf Club in Ha Noi, and Chi Linh Star Golf in the northern province of Hai Duong was chosen as the most challenging course.

Award ceremonies are to take place in Long Thanh on December 8, followed by a tournament with 200 entrants.
