VietJet Air to offer 49 per cent discount on fares

In a new collaborated deal with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association (HTA) and leading travel agencies of Vietnam, VietJet Air will now offer holidaymakers a huge discount of upto 49 per cent on its flights for the next six months.

This huge discount travel stimulus will certainly lure travellers to visit   Vietnam’s various travel destinations and enjoy low-cost holiday packages from June 15 to December 31, 2012.

As air fares take up a large part of a holiday budget, this new VietJet Air offer will provide low-cost tickets under flexible terms and conditions to participating travel agencies.

The travel agencies on the other hand will also try to offer competitive prices and quality tours to tourists visiting holiday destinations across the country.

On the busiest and most popular Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route, VietJet Air will offer even lower fares for travel agencies, besides also increasing more flights to meet the surging demand during the summer and year-end peak holiday period.

This new travel stimulus program - an initiative of HCMC Travel Association – will last until the end of the year and aims to boost the domestic travel demand in Vietnam.

HTA has also been coordinating with travel agencies to slash service prices. Nearly 20 of the country’s leading travel agencies will offer discount tours as part of the new travel program.

VietJet Air is the first private carrier in Vietnam licensed to fly on both domestic and international routes. It operates as a low-cost carrier with new Airbus A320 aircraft staffed with a professional and friendly crew.

Apart from eight daily return flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the carrier now services three more newly-launched routes, HCMC - Da Nang, Hanoi - Nha Trang and Hanoi – Da Nang.
International flights to Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia are scheduled by late 2012.

To meet expansion plans, the carrier aims to add another 15 aircraft to its existing fleet by 2015.
