Vietnam Airlines, French National Railways sign pact

Vietnam Airlines has joined hands with French National Railway Corporation SNCF to transport passengers from Charles De Gaulle International Airport to 19 destinations within France by the TGV high-speed train, announced the national carrier on September 10.

SNCF is one of the leading railway companies operating in France and most of Europe. The French railway network carries more than 4 million passengers’ everyday. The high-speed TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) can travel at speeds of upto 350-570 kilometers an hour, and offers speedy, safe, frequent, comfortable and efficient service.

In addition, Vietnam Airlines is offering summer promotional programs with huge discounts of upto 50 percent on flight tickets on both international and domestic routes.

The promotion is applicable for passengers who have bought tickets from August 15-31 for trips from September 5 to December 20, and from March 5 to May 20, 2013, excluding national holidays and peak season.

Passengers can buy discounted round-trip tickets on international flights at prices ranging from VND815,000 to VND10,415,000, and one-way tickets on 32 domestic flights at prices ranging from VND555,000 to VND999,000.

Vietnam Airlines will offer 200,000 seats on domestic routes and 100,000 seats on international routes.
